The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that it had opposed to transfer of the case of slain Noida teen Aarushi Talwar from Ghaziabad to Delhi.
The CBI also said that Talwars have filed for this transfer application with a motive that there is no provision of anticipatory bail in Uttar Pradesh and they want to take advantage that such provisions exist in Delhi.
The apex court has adjourned the matter till coming Monday and the CBI has been directed to file an affidavit.
Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008 and the body of the Talwars' domestic help, Hemraj, who too was murdered, was found on the terrace of their house the next day.
Both Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were named the prime accused in the murder of their 14-year-old daughter.
